The Lilawagila Outdoor Education Program is a partnership between the Lilawagila School and A̱ka̱la. It is an 8-10 lessons program that brings the Lilawagila students out of the classroom and into the outdoors. The lessons have included: safety in the outdoors, teamwork, fire starting, navigation using a map and compass, shelter-building, river safety and plant/animal identification. The program has been running since 2021.
