DESCRIPTION:We invite all Musgamakw Dzawada̱’enux̱w citizens living in the unceded territories of the unceded territory and homelands of our relatives – the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam)\, Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh)\, Lil̓wat7ul Nations and the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and shíshálh (Sechelt) Nations to join us on the Talking Trees tour with Talaysay Tours. \nThe tour begins in Stanley Park at 1200pm. Following the tour we will have lunch and facilitate a discussion about the importance of land and water-based learning\, barriers that are keeping people away from the homelands\, among other important topics. \nThis is a family-friendly event. Lunch will be provided. Transportation is available upon request. DESCRIPTION:The Paddle Alumni Gathering brings together all past and current participants of the Youth Leadership Paddle Program (2017-2024) and the Women and Gender-Diverse Canoe Journey (2023-2024) to share the impact our programs have had on their lives. This will be an uplifting space to share what they learned and to create connections with other Musgamakw Dzawada̱’enux̱w paddlers. The larger Musgamakw Dzawada’enuxw communities will be invited out for a day to witness the accomplishments of the paddlers\, and for the paddlers to be of service to their community. \nLocation: TBD
